Carolyn Davis, EdD
I have over fifteen years of counseling and coaching experience working with individuals and groups in private clinic, hospital, corporate and higher education environments.
My approach emphasizes strengths, values, and a growth framework for increasing self-understanding, resolving personal health and relationship concerns, and achieving life goals.
Relief from your most urgent challenges is the utmost priority. As things unfold through the counseling/coaching process you'll learn to release unhealthy patterns, develop new ways of being, and create a connection with what's genuine and essential in you. All of which brings greater ease and fulfillment in life.
I hold a State of Wisconsin Professional Counselor License (LPC-IT), Doctorate in Adult Education from National Louis University in Chicago (focus in Transpersonal Psychology and Developmental Stages of Identity Consciousness), Master's in Professional Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin, and a Bachelor's in Psychology from DePaul University in Chicago.
The counseling and coaching that I offer is holistic and client-centered emphasizing deep listening and integrating numerous evidenced-based techniques including Trauma Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure, Mindfulness, and Emotional Freedom Adaption Technique (EFAT). I also have over 13-years of experience working with the Human Design System.
My own regular health regime includes Mindfulness, Meditation and Ashtanga Yoga.
My Core Values
Love-- the unifying force and essence of life, a healed state of mind.
Present Moment Living-- brings competence, safety, compassion, gratitude and joy.
Integrity-- wholeness, an eyes-and-heart-wide-open acceptance of all parts of who we are and recognizing we're connected collaborative co-creators.
Universal Law-- relates to ethical behavior and commitment to serve the highest good. Universal law honors the structures that support life and those who came before us. It acknowledges that we stand on the shoulders of giants--spiritual, intellectual and artistic.
